John Whitehead is Chair of Occupational Awards Limited, a Trustee of the Billingsgate Seafood Training School, Chairman of the Certification Council of Acoura Ltd and Senior Independent Director of the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink. He is a founder Director of the Food & Drink Exporters Association and serves as a Non-Executive Director/Adviser with Strathmore Foods Ltd, Glycomar Ltd and Gourmet’s Choice Smoked Salmon. He is a Liveryman of the Fishmongers’ Company.
In 2003 he was appointed OBE for services to the Agri food industry.
Amanda ClarkChief Executive
Amanda is the Chief Executive at Occupational Awards.
Amanda is responsible for leading the OAL team to achieve the company objectives as the Senior Officer for quality and delivery of all awarding organisation requirements related to the relevant regulatory organisations related regulatory functions, and to report to, and take guidance from the Governing Body on the successful performance of the company.
David MarettFinance Director
David is Finance Director of Occupational Awards and a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser and Qualified Auditor.
As well as being Finance Director for Occupational Awards he runs his own company providing Finance Director, Accountancy and Tax services. David trained in Audit Assurance with a Big 4 firm and has held roles in International Listed Plc’s, SME’s, Practice, Charities and Not for Profit organisations..
Lisa WilliamsonOperations Manager
Lisa is the Operations Manager at Occupational Awards.
Lisa is responsible for the day to running of Occupational Awards and managing the successful development, delivery and design of qualifications. She has over 18 years’ experience in this area of work.
Lisa is a Liveryman with The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers and has worked closely with the furniture and related industries for over 10 years.
Sally Worsley-SpeckDevelopment Manager & Lead EQA - Food & Drink
Sally is a Development Manager and the Lead EQA for Food & Drink at Occupational Awards.
Sally has worked in the qualifications arena since the birth of NVQs back in the mid 1980s. Her experience includes all aspects of qualification implementation; assessing, quality assuring and developing qualifications, particularly within the food and drink sector.
Sally has also been involved in the development of managers at all levels, assessors and internal quality assurers for a range of different organisations.
Andy is an EQA at Occupational Awards for Furniture, Wood, Health & Safety, Cross Sector and International Centres.
Andy is responsible for Occupational Awards centres and is also involved with ensuring the successful development, delivery and design of qualifications.
Andy also supports the work for the development of international vocational skills training opportunities from initial scoping through to operational delivery.
Jon is an EQA at Occupational Awards for Furniture, Wood, Cross Sector and Health and Safety.
Jon started his career as a wood-machinist, earning the Sir Alfred Tomkins Memorial Scholarship, British Aerospace Award and a City &
Jon has worked on the development of furniture and machine woodworking NVQ’s, and is an expert witness for the HSE in machine accident investigations.
Jon is also an experienced Trainer, Assessor and Internal Verifier for all the qualifications.
