Constant contact with the OAL team was of “great significance” in facilitating the training provided by Burnley College to furniture manufacturer The Senator Group and bed maker Silentnight Group, as part of their Apprenticeship Furniture Standard.
Burnley College Trainer Assessor Martin McDonagh-Kelly singled out close contact with OAL as making a pivotal contribution over the two-year training period.
“Regular contact with the OAL team – including Sue Morgan [end-point assessment Delivery Manager], Lee Reddington [Head of Customer Support] and Yvette Boland [Development Manager] – made the whole process much easier and more streamlined,” said Martin.
With 19 modules to complete over the two-year training, he also valued the overall quality of the package provided by OAL. “This was a new qualification, so everyone was on a learning curve. OAL’s good understanding of the legislation and frequent contact over the training period kept us up-to date with the latest guidance,” he said.
