Your views are essential for the future of Furniture Apprenticeships
A group of Furniture employers working on behalf of the sector have now developed a number of Level 3 Furniture Apprenticeships. The work has been funded by The Furniture Makers and British Furniture Manufacturers, and the group is chaired by the Senator Group
In this once in a generation opportunity we are calling for the Furniture sector and key stakeholders to get involved and to have their say on the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours that Apprentices should display on completion of their Apprenticeship.
The group have now developed the following standards (click to download):
- Advanced Upholsterer (covering modern and traditional upholstery)
- Advanced Furniture CNC Technician
- Bespoke Furniture Maker
It is essential that we get the content right for these Standards as these will form the development programmes for Apprentices in the future.
The employer group urges you to view the Standards developed and carefully consider what you as an employer would expect to see from your apprentices.
Please consider these and feedback your views to Lisa Williamson who is coordinating responses on behalf of the group. It is also essential to let us know if you support these standards, just drop us email to let us know.
The consultation will close on 29th June 2018
