Our end-point assessment services for the operations/departmental manager apprenticeship standard are available for registration.

This apprenticeship has been designed by a range of employers to ensure that both new entrants and those interested in progressing a career in the sector have an opportunity to develop the right skills, knowledge and behaviours. This apprenticeship is a fantastic way of developing these skills whilst learning and gaining experience at work. The standard is a Level 5 apprenticeship and completion, apprentices may choose to register as members with the Chartered Management Institute and/or the Institute of Leadership & Management, to support their professional career development and progression.

At the end of the programme apprentices will be able to:

  • know how to set up and manage a project
  • understand business finance
  • manage people and develop relationships
  • manage self
  • plan, organise and manage resources
  • input into strategic planning and create plans

Operations/departmental manager apprenticeship standard

Occupational Awards Limited (OAL) is approved to offer apprentice end-point assessment services for this apprenticeship standard.

End-point assessment for operations/departmental manager

The end-point assessment can take place in either the workplace OR a recognised facility.

The EPA will test the entire standard, and be undertaken as follows:

  1. Assessment of knowledge through a test using scenarios, questions and responses
  2. Assessment of competency through a structured competency based interview
  3. Work based project, presentation and question and answer session
  4. Continuing professional development log reviewed and professional discussion

The EPA requires apprentices to demonstrate they have achieved the standard

Team leader/supervisor apprenticeship standard

Occupational Awards Limited (OAL) is approved to offer apprentice end-point assessment services for this apprenticeship standard.

End-point assessment for team leader/supervisor

The end-point assessment can take place in either the workplace OR a recognised facility.

The EPA will test the entire standard, and will be undertaken as follows:

  1. Assessment of knowledge through a test using scenarios, questions and responses
  2. Assessment of competency through competency based interview
  3. Assessment of portfolio of evidence
  4. Continuing professional development log reviewed and professional discussion/question and answer session

The end-point assessment requires apprentices to demonstrate they have achieved the standard.
