In response to the current Coronavirus outbreak, OAL will continue to follow the guidance as outlined by the UK Government and will review our approach on a daily basis.
Currently we plan to operate as usual and will honour all existing EPA Bookings. Where requested and appropriate we are offering remote assessments if the apprentice is willing and the employer has facilities to support, such as laptops with video function.
We will continue to review the on-going situation on a daily basis and following the latest guidance as well as the wishes of our customers.
Currently we have no incidents of infection, and all of our Independent Assessors adhere to the guidelines in terms of maintaining distance and due to our background in food and drink, hygiene and cross contamination is always at the forefront of our minds.
What does this mean for you?
Our approach to face to face visits with customers remains that we are client led and will accommodate these where customers want to continue. We will continue to monitor this going forward and should guidance change we will let you know.
You can continue to book EPA through the OAL EPA Portal, EPA Live, although we might suggest you make all apprentices aware that there may be cancellations should government advice change.
So long as your apprentice and their employer is happy for EPA to go ahead, our assessors will arrive and carry out EPA at the time and date agreed. Where appropriate and requested we can offer some remote assessment and will endeavour to support you and your customers with this option wherever practicable.
We will continue to update you as the situation develops.
In the meantime if you have any queries do not hesitate to contact one of the OAL team.
