About our food safety and allergens qualifications.

Our food safety and allergens qualifications have been written for those involved in the processing, preparation or service of food in manufacturing, catering, retail or warehousing and logistics activities.

OAL Level 2 Award in Food Safety – 603/1072/8

This qualification is designed to develop and assess knowledge and understanding of food safety supervision. It is critical that those involved in the supervision of the food safety management system in manufacturing, catering, retail or warehousing and logistics (distribution) have the necessary understanding to ensure that consumers have confidence in the safety of food for public sale and consumption.

OAL Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision – 603/1073/X

This qualification is designed to develop and assess knowledge and understanding of food safety supervision. It is critical that those involved in the supervision of the food safety management system in manufacturing, catering, retail or warehousing and logistics (distribution) have the necessary understanding to ensure that consumers have confidence in the safety of food for public sale and consumption.

OAL Level 2 Award in Food Allergen Awareness and Control – 603/1039/X

This qualification is designed to develop and assess knowledge and understanding of food allergens and their control. Allergens can pose a major health risk to a significant proportion of the population so the ability to advise colleagues and consumers, and to understand how to control allergens in food production, preparation, serving and sales is essential to public food safety.
