We have a range of qualifications suitable for those working in, or preparing to work in a furniture and wood processing role.

OAL Level 2 NVQ for Furniture CNC Technician – 603/0214/8

This qualification was developed with support from the Furniture Industry Employer Trailblazer Group, British Furniture Manufacturers, British Contract Furniture Association, FIRA, The Furniture Makers and the National Bed Federation.

This qualification can also be used to underpin the delivery of the furniture manufacturer apprenticeship standard.

OAL Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Furniture and Wood Processing (CNC Machining) – 601/7628/3 (Expires 31.12.18)

This qualification is aimed at those who are employed by a range of business sectors to cut, shape and prepare materials providing component parts for their product range. These can include furniture, kitchens, garden furniture, sheds, fencing, interior skirtings etc, using CNC machinery.

OAL Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Furniture and Wood Processing Technician (CNC Machining) – 601/6657/5

The primary purpose of the qualification is to enable individuals to demonstrate specific competence and knowledge appropriate for the day to day activities in a manufacturing environment using wood and wood-based materials to create products and components. Products may include, for example: furniture for domestic, commercial and industrial use and other items for the engineered wood and construction sectors.

OAL Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Furniture and Wood Processing – 601/7627/1 (Expires 31.12.18)

This qualification is aimed at those who are employed by a range of business sectors to cut, shape and prepare materials providing component parts for their product range. These can include furniture, kitchens, garden furniture, sheds, fencing, interior skirtings etc, using CNC machinery, as well as all of the long-standing traditional machinery.

OAL Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Furniture and Wood Processing – 601/6659/9

The Level 3 NVQ Furniture and Wood Processing is a national qualification consisting of mandatory and optional units. Individuals choose units that match their job role. These job-specific units confirm both skills competence and the necessary related job knowledge.

By the end of the qualification, the learner will be competent in the job role and have a good understanding of the related job knowledge associated with the role.
