FDEM EPA Booking and Project Approval Process Change

As part of OAL’s continuous improvement approach we regularly review how we interpret and deliver End Point Assessment against all of the standards we offer. As part of this review and following feedback from our providers we have decided to implement a change of process for how we approve projects and book EPA for the current Food and Drink Maintenance Engineer Apprenticeship.

This new process will take effect from the 10th October 2022 and applies to all apprentices on the AP04 or version1.0 of the standard (all apprenticeship starts prior to 3rd July 2022). Our Head of Partnership Development, Lee Reddington, will be running a series of webinars detailing the new process and our Customer Service and Data Manager, Debs Briggs, will be running follow up sessions on how to use the OAL Portal when following this new process.

Food & Drink Maintenance Engineer EPA – Old Standard New Process!

This session will detail the exciting new process for EPA for the current Food & Drink Maintenance Engineer (AP04).

The New process for the OLD standard will reduce the administrative burden on Training Providers, improve the communication and feedback between OAL and the Apprentice and their employer, streamline the project planning and project approval cycle and enable the employer and apprentice to agree assessment dates directly with the OAL Independent Assessor.

Please not this is for EPA NOT the diploma and applies to apprentices on the old version of the assessment plan (anyone who started before July 2022).

This session is for Training Providers (delivery and administrative staff) involved in EPA planning, gateway submission and booking of EPA for the FDEM standard
