OAL Level 4 External Quality Assurance Qualifications
The OAL Level 4 Qualifications in External Quality Assurance are designed to support individuals who are responsible for externally assuring the quality of assessment across approved centres and providers. These qualifications develop the learner’s knowledge, skills, and practical competence required to carry out external quality assurance activities in line with regulatory, organisational, and awarding body requirements.
These qualifications are designed for individuals who carry out external quality assurance roles. This may include monitoring centre performance, reviewing internal quality assurance systems, sampling assessment decisions, supporting staff, and ensuring that assessment practices meet national standards and awarding organisation requirements.
Learners will develop a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of external quality assurance. This includes planning and carrying out quality assurance activities, using risk-based sampling, reviewing centre policies and procedures, providing constructive feedback, managing compliance, and ensuring the integrity and consistency of qualifications across centres.
